What are the threats? Viruses, You can now get viruses just from visiting a web page/site, sometimes not even by mistake, these are sometimes pop-up sites. Please see section on Viruses to get protection against these. For more info on Pop-ups, click here. Hackers, there are many ways for hackers to gain access to your system, they can use. Trojans/backdoor programs see Trojan section. Vulnerabilities in windows and explorer, visit windows update to check for these. Spyware, files that send info to there servers, see Spyware section. Cookies, little files that log Internet activities and report back to base with the information found, another form of spyware. See Cookie and Spyware sections.
